ERRINGTON — The Regional District of Nanaimo recently announced the construction of their new playground inside Errington Community Park is officially complete.
The Wild Rose Castle Playground features play structures, swings and a sand area for families to enjoy.
Other improvements made include a new picnic shelter and BBQ area, new access pathways, additional trees and planting beds.
Art made by kindergarten students at Errington Elementary School was donated a revealed during a small celebration and now adorns the playground fence.
Community input helped shape this park during the design phases in order to enhance this popular area for a wide range of ages and recreational interests.
The Errington Community Park hosts a variety of activities throughout the year, including the Errington farmers market.
