NANAIMO — Around 75 parade entries lined up for the 2026 Nanaimo Pride Parade.

The Sunday, June 14, event capped a week of Pride-themed celebrations and saw onlookers line the parade route down Fitzwilliam St., across the Bastion St. bridge, across the Pride crosswalk, and down Front St. towards Maffeo Sutton Park.

Sunny skies greeted parade entrants and those watching on, with the parade leading to a festival at the park Sunday afternoon, featuring live music, entertainment and activities.

The 2026 Nanaimo Pride Parade and festival was expected to be one of the biggest ever for the local Society organizing the event.
