NANAIMO — BC Cannabis Stores (BCCS) announced they are opening their second cannabis store in Nanaimo, located at Country Club Centre.
The 3,000 sq. ft. stand-alone store will have 13 full-time and auxiliary employees, and they will require a strict two-ID check for people who look under 30.
The store officially opens on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022.
Consistent with Provincial Health Officer orders, all customers and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a face mask while in the store, aside from those with a medical exemption.
This is the second government-operated cannabis store in Nanaimo, along with 11 local privately run shops to open businesses since the recreation use of marijuana was legalized in 2018.
