PARKSVILLE — Motorists are told to brace for delays over the course of several hours on Thursday to allow a sign to be installed on Highway 4 at Angel Rock.
Mainroad Mid-Island Contracting crews stated single-lane alternating traffic flow at the mid-point of Cameron Lake would be in effect between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14.
“Traffic management for this job will be single-lane alternating. Drivers could encounter delays up to 30 minutes. Please leave yourself extra time when travelling in the area,” read a statement from the highway maintenance contractor.
Motorists are reminded to obey signage, flaggers, and watch for roadside crews.
The one-day disruption follows a summer of frustration on the route which saw vehicular movement either closed or limited between early June and late August due to a nearby wildfire.
