I nominate my Father to win a BBQ + $100
I love my Dad. He's been had a significant role in my life. Has taken on some pretty difficult roles over his life and had to be a single father when single fathers were not all that common. Even though he was very disabled he took on raising my brother and I on his own after my mother succumbed to severe alcoholism. He rescued us from a neighboring province. He was a good dad caring for us. Now he is a grandfather to my two kids. He has been an outstanding Grandpa and really loves and cares for them too. He has been there for them and has attended all their special school events, graduations from High School and University. (My kid's father was not in the picture) Grandpa played a major fatherly role model for my kids. He even gave my son his old car that was in good running shape to my son so he could get jobs and build his new life on his own. Dad doesn't have much. He's a 78 yr old senior now. Pensions don't go too far. I would like for him to have a new BBQ and buy some steaks to fire up with the grandkids so we can celebrate Father's Day with him together.
