Fathers Day contest
Good day I wanted to nominate my dad August G.. Sylvester for Fathers Day contest.
My Dad is really my Step dad he was in an arranged marriage with my mother since i was 2 months old, he was with my mom for 57 years, his the best dad we could have asked for, when my dad got with mom she already had 4 children, he is always an amazing teacher always sharing teachings or memories, his always worked all his life, he helped mom raise us all, dad had two children with my late mom she just passed away in April of this year. we all still call him dad and do what we can for him. he teaches thru Zoom Meetings now, his either teaching about traditional medicines or our traditional Language. what I love about him is how he accepted all us children as his own, I keep telling him you are the last of your kind dad, today most men don't accept other children as their own, his always been their for us children. he was such a good provider always sharing what he hunted or caught fishing or any foods he gathered with the elders and community members, my grand mother loved him so much she was always knitting him sweaters or vests or gloves or socks, he is so well loved by us all My heart is so full of LOVE for him, I hope you consider my dad for this fathers day contest. he was on APTN for sharing about where he goes for traditional medicine and then his been well known for his carvings that have been sold and sent as far as germany other parts of the world. he used to sit and carve with Late Ronnie George. He still goes down to the beach to share and teach the younger ones how to be better canoe pullers. he teaches others how to cook down the beach without any pots or pans., his a good traditionalist. his our Medicine Man that has cured many people from Cancer.
